Snapback & Auto Arm for Ableton Live
Video demo - Coming soon!
Snapback & Auto Arm is a powerful plugin designed to enhance the live looping workflow within Ableton Live's Session View. It offers two key features that streamline your live performance experience: snapping the end of recorded clips to the nearest bar and enabling Auto Arm for MIDI tracks.
When recording session clips in Ableton Live, you've probably encountered the frustration of your recordings extending to the next bar, even when you didn't intend for it to. This results in clips that start late, throwing off your rhythm and timing.
Snapback ensures the end of your recorded session clips snaps to the nearest bar, just like it does on beloved hardware loopers like the Boss RC-505.
No more accidental over-recordings, and your loops will seamlessly sync up every time. It also respects your global launch quantization as well as time signature, allowing you to easily create odd loops.
Key Features:
Clip End Snapping: The plugin ensures that the end point of a recorded clip snaps to the nearest bar (or whatever the Global Quantization is set to) instead of the next one. This feature is usually only found in dedicated hardware loopstations. It will then continue playing perfectly in time.
Auto Arm: When no other tracks are explicitly armed, the selected MIDI track will automatically receive incoming MIDI notes and data, eliminating the need for manual arming. Some MIDI controllers also enable this feature while they’re connected, but this Plugin enables it at all times.
